Entrepreneurship

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a startup, or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Interested in meaningful and progressive models of entrepreneurship that move through the world consciously? I’m here to help you to achieve your vision.

I can help you answer the questions:

How do I craft an elevator pitch and pitch deck?
How do I raise VC, Angel, and Crowdfunding capital?
How can I co-found a startup while being chronically ill?
and more!

Chronic Illness

Having an invisible illness means facing two battles. It is one thing to be sick, and it is another to live in a world where so few people understand. Having lived with chronic health conditions and disabilities for years, I understand how challenging it can be. I am here to help you navigate these turbulent waters.

Most commonly asked questions:

I’ve been diagnosed with tick-borne illness…Now what?

I am trying to decide between traditional western medicine and holistic healing. How do I know which option is right for me?

How can I advocate for myself within the healthcare system with an invisible illness?

I am searching for the best practitioners to assist me in my healing process. Can you help me connect to the right ones?

It is difficult for me to receive support from my family regarding my health. How can I improve that?

Public Speaking

Optimism is my protection against life’s naysayers. I connect with people on an emotional level and I build bonds through acts of care. I create environments where others feel supported and validated. I have an abundant drive, a deep faith in life, and a well-spring of enthusiasm for the right projects.

Previous clients include:

Fidelity Investments, Becton Dickinson (BD), MedComp, The Association for Vascular Access, The Infusion Nurses Society, Tuft's Health Plan, The United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, MassChallenge, Babson College, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and other distinguished organizations.

Monotony is not for me:

When others hear my story, they can draw parallels and see themselves mirrored back more clearly, which helps folks to feel less alone.

I help community members who identify as chronically ill, disabled, and/or founders to come home to themselves so they can build the life they have been dreaming of. I use my gifts of curiosity, compassion, and connection to walk or “roll” alongside my clients and community.

I help you connect with your soul's journey, spirit guides, and translate their guidance into practical action for your life.

When I was 21, with my two best friends, I started a medical device startup out of my dorm room to solve a problem I had in living with Neurological Lyme Disease and receiving IV medication. I named my venture Mighty Well because this is how I desperately wanted to feel, even though I had experienced medical gaslighting, being underestimated by the ableist venture capital world, and a sense of hopelessness at times as a chronically ill patient in the Western Medical System. After being diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), I questioned if I would ever have full use of my legs again, walk without a cane, or need a wheelchair to make it through the airport.

Over the years, with the help of my cofounders and team, I’ve scaled Mighty Well to be a part of the 2.3% of all VC-backed businesses majority-owned by women, and the 1.7% of women-owned businesses to reach over $1mm in sales.

Throughout my lived experience as a founder experiencing chronic illness, I have been selected to participate in world-class entrepreneurial programs including the Cartier Women’s Initiative, the Morgan Stanley Inclusive Ventures Lab, MassChallenge, and my team and I are the youngest in the Babson College Hall of Fame as Rising Stars at the time of induction.

My greatest joy from the learnings of these elite programs has been to give back my time and mentor folks who self-identify as either chronically ill, disabled, entrepreneurs, or like me, all three!

I find healing in sharing how I’ve navigated building a social venture in a world that is ableist and exclusionary. I’ve navigated the tricky waters of building a business in an emerging industry that I’ve helped to create and shape while balancing the very real reality of living with chronic illness and long-term medical devices.

Today, I have stepped down as CEO of the company I co-founded to better manage my physical and mental health. I have been on a journey of self-exploration into the depths of my soul. I have learned to love my body, even though it used to feel broken at times. I find healing and solace in serving others on their journey towards alignment. I believe that HOME is a state of being, and I look forward to helping you discover it for yourself.

Alchemizing pain into power

Recently, you can find me literally at home in Providence, the capital of the Ocean State, where I prefer cold water plunges that wake me up to the here and now. At the heart of it, I would rather be in bed with my 2 adopted poodles, with a cozy blanket, and a cup of tea than at a networking happy hour. I am a highly sensitive person (HSP) and seer and medium who is an introverted-extrovert. (Most days), I get up and keep learning about who I really am because I am driven to share my learnings with the next generation of folks who also felt like they were on the outside looking into a business and/or medical system that wasn’t built for them to feel seen, heard, or listened to.

When I channel my big visions into information, it invites others into a new way of thinking.
