About Kambô
“Kambô is the skin secretion of the Philomedusia BiColor, ‘Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog’, who lives in the trees of the Amazon. Indigenous Tribes located in the Amazon basin of the South American rainforest have used this secretion for thousands of years to heal physically and energetically or to aid in strength before hunting. Kambô heals the body and energy systems by restoring, harmonizing, and balancing them.”
“Kambô is best known for its hundreds of bioactive peptides that show potent anti-inflammatory, anti-biotic, anti-cancerous, and anti-pain effects. . Western pharmaceutical drugs companies have filed over 70 patents on the secretion that are now contributing to groundbreaking research on some of the most widespread diseases from cancer to chronic illness. Kambô is legal and safe when administered by a qualified practitioner outside of the Amazon.
Among Kambô’s uses by Amazonian tribes, its purpose was to help hunters be swift, strong, and focused. The hunter would use it to deepen their connection to their intuition as well as to increase their endurance during the hunt.
Kambô is also traditionally used among Amazonian tribes to eliminate ‘Panema,’ which can refer to any negative energy. Injuries, depression, laziness, irritation, and other adverse states are blamed on Panema.
Kambô aids in the circulation of blood and eliminates physical and mental blocks. By removing toxins through the lymphatic system and boosting the immune system, it increases the body's ability to heal itself. A powerful healing modality, Kambô has also been recognized outside the Amazon as the "vaccine of the forest."
Scientist Vittorio Erspamer at the University of Rome describes Kambô as a "fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications" that isn't found in any other type of form. Vittorio Erspamer is best known for his discovery of serotonin in the human brain. Read more of his research here.
As shown in Erspamer’s research, Kambô is made up of short chains of amino acids, called peptides. The bio-active peptides work by binding with receptors in the brain, which triggers chemical reactions in the body. A receptor is like a lock that when opened with the right key will allow healing to happen and energy to flow.
Research on the chemical makeup of Kambô has been conducted since the 1960s and recognizes its healing capacities in short chains of amino acids, known as peptides. These bioactive peptides impact the gastrointestinal muscles and blood circulation, as well as stimulate the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland. By isolating a few of the secretion's many bioactive peptides, pharmaceutical companies have used Kambô to create over 70 patents in the US alone that comprise many of the popular drugs used today.”
Western Science’s current knowledge of the main peptides present in Kambô suggest it can have positive effects on the following conditions when applied:
Depression
Lyme Disease
Autoimmune Diseases
Migraines
Blood circulation problems
Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease
Seizures
Vascular insufficiency
Organ diseases
Fertility problems
Deeply rooted toxins
Chronic pain
Addiction to opiates or painkillers
Fever and infections
AIDS
Hepatitis
Cancer
Kambô peptides contain dermorphin and deltorphin, which are powerful painkillers without being addictive.
The removal of toxins is facilitated by the peptides phyllomedusin and phyllocaerulein. The peptide Dermaseptin promotes powerful antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast fungi. Tryptophyllins, another peptide, are powerful against the yeast candida.
There is also compelling research that has been carried out by the University of Paris on the effect of Dermaseptin B2 on cancer cells.
Users often find that Kambô provides deep clarification regarding:
Navigating big life transitions
Cultivating self-awareness
Shifting perspective
Defining goals and how to achieve them
Letting go of attachments that do not serve us
Getting unstuck in life
Reinvigorating inspiration
Grieving
Resolving childhood trauma
Self-destructive behavioral patterns

Medications:
Be sure to report any medications or herbal supplements you may be on. Do not take any supplements or medicines unless medically necessary on the day of the ceremony. Some herbs or medicines may need to be avoided for a couple of days before treatment. Some medications/supplements are contraindicated and may have a risk for interactions with the Kambo.
Supplements:
Avoid any supplements the day of your Kambo treatment. Avoid taking any medication prior to your Kambo treatment unless absolutely necessary. They will likely be purged out and wasted. You can resume your regular medication regime after the session. Kambo is very safe when given by a properly trained practitioner. However, there are some conditions for which Kambo is contraindicated. This is not an exhaustive list, so it’s essential to consult a properly trained and skilled practitioner if you have any concerns. Suitability for Kambo may occasionally depend on the constitution of the person receiving Kambo.
Required: Please give your practitioner a list of all medication and supplements taken regularly with dosage and any diagnosis connected. From there, the practitioner will reference medical literature to confirm if you are able to take Kambo.
Kambo is contraindicated for folks taking the following medications:
Krokodil (Desomorphine)
Pink (U-47700)
Fentanyl
Heroin Substitutes (Methadone, Buprenorphine, Naltrexone, and Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN))
